What Is Polarity Therapy?Polarity Therapy is a combination of 4 components for a whole-health approach to wellness:
_________________________________________________________
The body has an original blueprint for health. With optimum flow of the energy currents, the body will always go back to optimal health. We know that the body always wants to return to its natural state of wholeness. We know that we, as practitioners, allow the body to do what does best which is returning to balance. Stress - emotional or physical, can cause problems with the body's energy system. The original cause can be physical, such as a fall. Sometimes, it is stress brought on by our lifestyle or emotional traumas that occur throughout one's lifetime. We often speak of "bringing the body back into balance". Body systems can be over active or under active (i.e. nervous system, circulatory system, immune system, respiratory system.) We trust and know that the body has a wisdom of its own that is always wanting to go towards that original blueprint. Through Polarity Energetic Touch, various pressure and reflex points, and rocking movements, an over active system will calm, while an under a system will increase its functioning. Stress will be reduced and the body's muscular system will unwind. Currently, there is no machine as such to measure energy that is low or out of balance as a standard in clinical practice but "modern medicine" uses EKG and EEG as diagnostic tools for the activity of the heart and the brain. What the stylus is picking up from the body, to make a pattern to print on paper, is energy. It is printed in a certain pattern depending on the activity of the heart or the brain and we've learn how to interpret that pattern. What is being used for interpretation is ENERGY We look at Polarity not just in the context of energetic touch, for optimal flow of energy, but as a triad of energetic touch, exercise, and polarity nutrition. This creates a system of balance. Polarity also takes into consideration that our bodies have been designed for movement and activity which our current lifestyles seldom incorporate a daily basis. Ideally, Polarity is used for prevention, maintenance, and stress management. If disease is so far along as to show up on an MRI or CAT scan, we are in crisis mode. In this state, the return to health, whether through Polarity, surgery, medication, or other means is much more of an uphill challenge. Polarity is appropriate for some of the following conditions: stress relief, arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, back pain, headaches, TMJ, and cancer (usually in conjunction with other modes of allopathic medicine). Athletes use Polarity to achieve and maintain peak performance. A Registered Polarity Practitioner trains for two to three years to achieve the advanced level training. Polarity has a national board (under The American Polarity Therapy Association based in Boulder, CO.) that is constantly monitoring and setting standards for the profession. As practitioners, we often work as part of a team with conventional medical family practitioners and medical specialists. Often, we'll work with other complementary medical fields, such as acupuncturists or chiropractors.
Polarity always works in a partnership model with the client and practitioners.
